Have contacted LG multiple times but no response

LG fixed the fridge which I appreciate. However it was 4 days after it stopped working and I lost food in my fridge and freezer. They offered a good loss financial reimbursement but I have heard nothing after 8 weeks and contacting them 4 separate times.

Nice fridge but not so good quality

We havent had this fridge too many years and already had to replace the compressor under warranty and then the evaporator not under warranty. I think refrigerators in general are being made poorly as there are very few manufacturers of the parts and they have no real competition.

Great Features but not dependable

Bought this fridge about 4 years ago. While still under warranty the compressor failed and had to be replaced. This happened right before Thanksgiving and was a pain as it took a while to get someone out to repair. Then just a couple of weeks ago it stopped cooling again and we didnt realize it until we lost another load of food.... This time replaced the control board. We cant trust this fridge and are investing in a wifi enable temperature monitor that will alert us when the temperature goes up for an extended period - and it is quite expensive. Although we love the features of this refrigerator will never buy another LG again. this is our second one compressor failed on the first one too

Not Happy with LG Brand

Since having problems I have noticed many LGs in our community going out. I dont know if its because of them being in DR Horton homes or if its your actual product is the problem. I know that DR Horton uses the cheapest stuff they can find. When having a problem with ours I got online and your customer service that you live chat with was absolutely no help. This refrigerator is very well designed and laid out for easy access and ample storage space. The icemaker gets jammed a lot and has a small capacity. The cold water dispenser has limited capacity so water really isnt cold enough. Control panel began to peel off after only a year or so. Customer service was not helpful and would not replace under warranty one year warranty on very expensive item is weak even though others have had the same issue so it is a design/manufacturing flaw.

I have had the unit for over 4 years I think. Twice we have had compressor issues that made the refrigerator unusable. The first time it was repaired in a handful of days. The current issue began almost 2 weeks ago and will not be repaired for likely 2 more weeks. Delay cause by technician availability and parts needing to be ordered. Expected better quality from LG and faster repair service. Hundreds of dollars of food has been rendered useless.

I purchased this item 4 years ago. I also purchased the extended warranty and Geek Squad protection. My husband and I are seniors with no other users in the house. There is minimal door opening etc. After just 4 years of ownership the compressor went bad. Currently after almost a month of communication and three attempts to repair this item it is STILL not working. I am AGAIN waiting on service. I have lost 3 different batches of groceries. While I love the features of this fridge I am definitely not happy with its performance. Mom son owns the identical fridge and his had the exact same issues after only one year. It took 6 months of attempts to finally get his repaired properly. This is totally unacceptable.

Big unit.

I purchased this refrigerator 4years ago. It was great till it stopped working to the exact 4 years anniversary of the purchased date. To my surprise the unit was so broblematic to other customers that LG extended the warranty to 5 years. So LG sent in a LG sertratified service company to fix and so called update the unit. The first time. It is now 4 month later and they have fixes it 4 times. About once a month.

The compressor just crapped out and we have been without a fridge for 11 days . Not very happy with the longevity of the fridge . Other than thats its just great

I bought my second LG refrigerator exactly 3 yrs ago. It just stopped cooling and freezing. Fortunately I bought a 5 yr warranty. It took 3 weeks for a tech to come look he ordered 4 parts for repair. 3 of the 4 parts delivered very shortly after the techs visit. A little over a month of the initial call the tech is expected. However the 4th part has not arrived. Now to review the fridge. Its a beautiful fridge as fridge goes. The see through door and quick grab items is helpful. Just tap the door and it lights up. The ice-maker is quick and keeps up with our use but youd probably want to make or buy ice if having a good amount of people over. Over ice maker has stopped making ice and I just let it alone and within a week it starts working again. When it stops working look under the inside bottom of the freezer. Youll have to get on your knees and look from the side bottom for anything that might have fallen from one of the shelves/drawer . I use a broom to sweep out it item then within a few hours ice maker begins to work again. Something it may stop if you have a storm and the electric goes out for a few seconds. Just unplug and wait for 10 mins then replug. If that doesnt work wait at least a week before calling a repairman.

Broke Down

The design is the best

I am very sorry I spent that much on a lemon. We have had repairs done on it six months after purchase and six months every six months ever since we bought it for the same problem. I will never recommend and I Will talk people out of buying LG even when I am in the stores if I see people looking at LG I will try to change their mind. LG has made our life miserable for the last three years. LG does NOT care about the customers. Run away from LG refrigerators.

Horrible product and customer service

We bought this a little over a year ago. All of sudden it just broken down out of nowhere. We called customer service but a couple of days after it started working again on its own. Fast track 3 years later it broke down again all of a sudden but this time it DID NOT restart rworking again after a couple of days. We called customer service but its been more than 2 weeks and they still cant find a service person to check and fix this issue. We called multiple times... A lot of our food spoiled..... thought this refrigerator will last lo ger but what a waste of money. Product is very poor and customer service is horrible. Hope they will just reimburse us so we can get a better fridge with better customer service.

Bought this from a friend Custom chill drawer doesnt work. LG wont send a tech with serial number and there isnt one anywhere on it. LG app doesnt even say the model or serial number for device information even with it being a smart wifi fridge.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

We bought this fridge in 2018 as part of our kitchen remodeling. Love the fridge until this past weekend after returning home from a 2 week vacation. The fridge went kaput along with all the food that was in it. Horrible It lasted 4 years and interesting that it is now a discontinued model. Will never buy a LG product again.

I bought this just over 2 years ago. the water dispenser is a bit awkwardly located where water shoots out on the floor if you dont realize where the spout is. I adore the door-in-door feature. A little perturbed about the fan icing up and having to do a full 8-hour defrost and 24 hour re-cooling after such a short amount of time in use but everything else has been great.

Called about this months into owning Was told it was compressor. LG sent service person who adjusted fan. Compressor has now gone. Eight days for service. But also needs control board. Up to twelve weeks for this. Parts not available. See internet for class action suit which explains.

Multiple problems

Ive had this unit for several years. Ive had constant issues with it maintaining a cool constant temperature in the refrigerator main compartment. I have it set at its lowest setting 33F and it barely keeps it at 40F. Whenever I put any significant amount of heat load in it the temperature typically shoots north of 45-50F for a while. Ive spent countless hours diagnosing and troubleshooting the issue and I think it has come down to a faulty temperature sensor due to the seemingly erratic/random behavior of the temperature in the main compartment. I have no issues with the freezer section. More recently the ice and water stopped dispensing and yet it still makes ice. Im still troubleshooting it but I think it is the control board for the ice dispenser. I will not buy another LG refrigerator.

Love the fridge features

I have been using this fridge since 4 years. I love everything about this fridge the capacity door in door feature and the style .what i dont like is the fact that I had to go through almost 10 repairs in 4 years. It has had cooling issues had changed the compressors coils and evaporator . The last time It got fixed was 2 weeks back. Hoping it will last me longer this time untill the next repair.
