Installed this poj 5 different times.. condensation pools up under the interior filter screen every time and I believe it's a design flaw.. Only been able to use it a few hours and now it's out of warranty.. Do not buy this unit. It is not a good one to get. Customer service didn't help at ALL even I called before warranty expired saved then after it did expire, they said.. Tough luck.. It's expired.. FRIGIDAIRE ISN'T GOO

I bought 2 of these units last year 2018, and now this year 2019 both remote controls are falling apart. I purchased it primarily for the remote control and look what happens. I called Frigidaire to see if they can replace the remote control. They said I would have to purchase new ones. Why would you make remote controls that will only last one year. Unbelievable, what a piece of junk. I will never buy a frigidaire product again.

I bought this last year and used it all summer in a bedroom where we sleep within 6 ft of it. This is the quietest airconditioner I've ever seen. The specs are 41 dB on low, which is so quiet that I have to walk across the room to check if it is running! When it is on high, the specs are 47 dB, which is still 10dB or so below most other air conditioners. This AC is PERFECT! I'm a picky engineer type who doesn't wan't to waste time and money. If I'm happy, anyone would be happy! I've used it for A YEAR!Only minor improvement I would suggest is that the LEDs are a bit too bright. I sleep with my eyes closed so no big deal, but it lights up the room more than is necessary. If the LEDs came on when you press a button on the remote this would be more convenient for a bedroom.

It cools well and is relatively quiet. HOWEVER it was difficult opening the front panel to clean the filter and there were no instructions as to where to pull out the panel. And the remote is a flimsy piece of plastic. I had to secure the touch pad to the base with tape because it kept separating. Bad design and cheaply made.

First day I bought it, the compressor did not work. Unit was broke. Contacted manufacturer and they are sending out a new one because they don't service window units under 12000 btu. To much trouble to box up and return to store plus it was the last one. You buy something new and should not have to be inconvenienced to getting a working model. They are sending out a new one so we will see.

Purchased a couple of months ago. Replaced a unit that was 90db loud. The difference in sound levels is amzing, and is understandaly a vast improvement. Unit works well. A happy customer.

I bought this and within a week it was making crazy loud rattling noises (sometimes for more than few a minutes straight) that were impossible to sleep through even with earplugs. I got a replacement which worked for a few days then started making similar rattling noises whenever it turned on (or every 10 minutes or so in eco mode). It was fortunately a bit quieter than the first so I just gave up and kept it. I'm disappointed since I paid extra for a quieter air conditioner and I think I would have been better off (or at least the same) with a cheaper one.

Love it! Great for the bedroom because it's so quiet. Great for watching TV because it's so quiet: no need to turn the sound up loud to drown out the noise of the air conditioner. And it keeps the house so cool. Just 6,000 btu but it cools 3 rooms, living room, bedroom and kitchen, So glad we chose this product!

Unit is as described. The noise level is great for our bedroom. The only draw back is the brightness of the LED lights which are very bright. I cut a piece of card stock and made a hinge with tape. The cover works great and blocks the lights. Overall a great unit so far and the price was good.

As soon as I started it up, I could hear that the fan blade was striking something in the case despite no damage to the unit and the packaging was in perfect shape. I tried getting support via Lowes and Frigidaire and spent probably an hour bouncing around menus before giving up. I had to uninstall the unit, bring it back down 2 flights of stairs, return it to the store, and find a replacement.

I decided to give this new one a try because it claimed to be quiet and that was important to me. Well, it did not disappoint. Not only is it much quieter than past air conditioners I've had, but it works better because the room cools much faster as well. I'm very happy I took the chance on this one. Love it!

I bought this online only product last month. While the AC was initially awesome - very quiet - It has an external compressor fan that arrived busted and making horrible noise when it turned on. Lowes tech support and frigidaire helped me return the product by taking my 4 phone calls, however as they required it go back to a store, it took a lot of time to uninstall, pack up and drive 45 min to resolve. While packing up I also realized that while I paid full price of $291 off the website, the unit I received had a yellow $199 clearance tag on it :(. while it may have just been a mistake on their part, to send me what may have been a floor or returned model, it was a mistake that cost me a large amount of time and effort, so Im sorry for this reason but I cannot recommend lowes as the place to purchase this unit. At the end of the day while helpful, I think they probably should have done more to make it right, so when they asked me to re order it myself online instead of completing the exchange for me, I went to amazon, and now have a great working unit(and believe newer model based on a different feature). Sorry Lowes.

I bought this for our bedroom. Having purchased maybe 8 room window units during my life, I can say they are noisy and buzzy and more or less industrial looking. Not this one. While it likely won't win an industrial design award, it does have some style to it and looks nice in a bedroom. of course, it cools well - that's a given. But importantly, though, this unit is almost silent - it doesn't buzz or rattle when the compressor kicks on or off. And, it turns on and off slowly so you don't get noise as it shuts on and off. We just don't hear it! The one item that I will point out is that the display is like a searchlight going through your bedroom at night - it's bright and there is no way to dim it. Other than that, this is an amazing unit for the bedroom - I am so glad I bought it!

I bought this unit a month ago and am questioning its value. Im thinking its the "quiet" design (or hoping it is), but I can barely feel the air from 6 feet away on the highest fan setting. We have yet to have a really hot day to see how well it cools, but I have a feeling its going back to the big blue store. After I put it in and noted how the air waifs out of it, I decided to keep box and receipt handy. Who knows maybe it really is a quiet design thats also effective. If it really works and I have the time, might update review further but remember quiet= barely any air moving.

It's December in Florida and hard to find a small replacement for my old window-shaker! Most stores have restocked their AC's not realizing it's in the 80's here this week! This 6,000 was the only smaller unit in town and was my LUCKY find! I am so impressed with how efficient and quiet it is! The remote is such a great asset too! We purchased our AC unit from Lowes and used their contractor to install in an upstairs window. Our house is 90 years old and gets warm upstairs during the summer. We needed an AC unit big enough to cool the bedroom it's in as well as some spillover in the adjacent bedroom. This unit does it perfectly and is extremely quiet for guests.
