Slick Looking

Judy836 5/9/2023

Looking very slick and easy to clean. Works great. I am still adjusting from gas cooktop to this induction. Water boil so fast, I had to use the timer on the cooktop which comes very conveniently. What I like the most is that it is make in the USA.

New Induction Cooktop

Glennis Morris 5/1/2023

My new Gallery Series induction cooktop was installed on April 6th. It's sleek and a breeze to clean. Love that BUT, on the 16th, just 10 days after installation, I used the large element for the first time. Unfortunately, only the back portion, in a weird sort of pie shape, heats. My All Clad skillets work great on the smaller elements. I contacted my retailer, Roby's, fully expecting either a refund or replacement, only to be referred to Frigidaire. See ticket #8626705801. To add to my frustration I waited for the certified Frigidaire repairman who arrived today, 2 weeks later, only to find out, per him, he has no experience with induction cooktops. I really don't understand why I should have to deal with a repairman at all when I paid $1619 for a NEW unit which is clearly defective. I love my Gallery Series appliances and was really looking forward to my upgrade to induction cooking.

Shut down in middle of cooking

Dave25 4/7/2023

This top shuts down when I use more than two pans on it. It states hot H shows on cook top. Need to put cold water on it to cool off than can resume cooking. I only use 5 to 7 on the heat. It happens about 50 percent of the time.

Class and Efficiency

CR report smart 3/12/2023

Love this cooktop. It is much easier to keep clean than my ceramic cooktop was. Food doesn't get "cook" on. I wipe with a wet Norwex microfiber cloth and dry with my enviro cloth to get that great shine. There is no edging to chip, so it stays looking great at the edge. Cooking is faster, and more efficient. All Clad pans work great on this surface. It turns off automatically when the pan is removed. It's a joy to cook on.

The cook top worked for 3 months until Thanksgiving when we really needed it. When we used 3 rings, it blew up and wouldn't restart. The Powerboil on the big ring doesn't work possibly due to the fact it shares a unit with one of the smaller rings

Happy with the switch to Induction

Jad7 2/15/2023

I made the switch to induction from gas cooktop and am happy with the instant responsiveness with this cooktop, since that's why I cooked with gas. I've only been using this for a couple of weeks but the controls are very easy and intuitive. There can be a bit of noise when a "burner" is heating up, as noted in manual, but it doesn't last long. The power boil setting is really amazing for how quickly it heats and brings water to a boil; I can quickly bring something to boil and then reduce heat setting quickly to simmer. I also like the sleek, low-profile look. Can't comment on wear and longevity of ceramic top looking nice since it's been such a short time with it installed but it does clean easily.

Very disapointed with Fridgidaire product and service

Saraohio1 2/9/2023

Bought new induction stove top. Did not heat evenly. Read online that this is a common problem and to get a heavier pan made just for induction stove tops. Purchased new pans, still had the problem. Eventually called for warranty service and had a very difficult time actually speaking with anyone. Would call the 800 # and would get a recording that said due to heavy call volume, they were unable to take our call and to call back. No offer for them to call us, which is what is typically done. Continued for weeks to try to get through until we were finally able to speak with someone. When the tech was finally able to make it out she told us that all the heating elements and control panel would need to be replaced. She said she'd check on parts availablity and get back to us. Called back and said the parts are unavailable and no date was given as to when they would be available. Also said that due to the complexity of the repair, the appliance would have to be removed and taken back to their shop. Said she had no idea when or if they could get the parts... We can't live for an undefined period of time without a cooktop! I'd like a refund of the purchase price, since it is still under warranty. Tech said we'd have to speak with Fridgidaire directly, since she is just a repair contractor. Have been trying to speak to someone and have been unable to get through. I don't know what we are going to do!

Disappointed with cooktop

SusanM39 2/7/2023

First, I want to say how excited it was to purchase our new induction cooktop. We researched the idea and settled on the 3066TB model. It got good reviews and was very reasonably priced. The cooking aspect of the cooktop is great. Love how fast it boils and how easy it is to operate and cool down. Now for what I am obsessed about™€¦..I was taking a can of Pam (which was a small can almost empty) out of a cabinet and the can fell about 8 inches onto the cooktop and the cooktop broke into hundreds of pieces. I couldn™€™t believe this cooktop was so fragile. How can a cooktop be that fragile that something that weighs just a few ounces can shatter a cooktop, also, no surprise, that™€™s not covered by the warranty! I believe there is a flaw in the way the top is made™€¦it just shouldn™€™t be that easy to damage. I™€™m really disappointed that it™€™s that easy to break something that should be more durable.

30" Induction Cooktop

Dnaradermacher 1/30/2023

It's a nice cooktop. This replaced my 20 year old GE profile induction cooktop. The sliding scale for temp setting is nice. The auto sensing pot size has incorrectly heated a frying pan twice so far. It seems to correct itself when I removed the pan from the surface for 5 seconds or so. There is also a fan noise when you power on the cooktop. The noise happens before setting a temp. Probably cooling the electronics but I wouldn't expect to hear it. Personally think something is touching the fan making the noise. Haven't looked into it yet. More time will tell. Only had this for 20 days or so. Boils water fast, but that's what you expect from induction. Very consistent temp, again what you expect from induction.

Induction Works Great

Paul S Ohio 12/22/2022

I like this much better than other types of electric cooktops.Cooks evenly, inside and outside stays cleaner. It takes a few dishes to ensure you do not overcook. Begins boiling in seconds on bottom. Very fast heat up. Pans have not warped so far as with radiant cooktop. Not all websites have accurate measurements. The installation guide from the web was good. I wound up lowering the back of my top shelf underneath the unit to fit the electrical cord. If you are wondering, get induction over radiant. The only issue is you need magnetic pots and pans that are compatible with induction.

Dream come true!

KL2314 12/18/2022

Induction cooking is wonderful. The precision of heat is perfect. This cooktop has 4 "burners", to use the old-fashined terminology. I this unit, the burners adjust to the size of the pot, so that if your pot is smaller than the burner, then only the part under the pot is active. Because the cooking happens by a magnetic field, the burner does not itself create the heat that is needed. The burner stays hot for a little while afterwards. Metal pans and pots that can create a magnetic field are needed. That means standard stainless steel is fine. Ceramic dishes such as Corningware are not. (If a magnet sticks to a pan, it is good to go.) I would also think that it is safer than gas or standard electric. Induction is only now getting to be the new standard in America (Europe is ahead of us). I would highly recommend induction to anybody who is buying a cooktop. This Frigidaire is excellent, a real dream come true.

Induction Cooktop Won™€™t Boil Water on Large Burner

Unhappy Customer Mar 12/16/2022

New Induction Cooktop, Model FGIC3066TB. Bought new Cuisinart Induction Ready Pot and Pan set to go with my new cooktop. Did magnet test on the bottoms of the pots and pans per the Owners Manual and the magnet stuck strongly to each one. The new pots work perfectly on the smaller burners, and I am very pleased with how the cooktop functions on those burners. However, the large center burner never gets hot enough to boil water, even when I use the exact same pans that I use successfully on the smaller burners. Had a certified service tech come out who replaced the generator and coil, but it still won™€™t boil water. When the tech called Frigidaire, he was told that only pots magnetized on the bottom AND SIDES will work on the large burner. No where is that stated anywhere in the Owner™€™s Manual. The Manual and your website state that if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, it is induction compatible.Since the same pots boil water just fine on the smaller burners, clearly they are compatible with induction cooking. The tech said that Frigidaire told him that the only way I could ever use the large burner is to buy yet another pot that is magnetized both on the bottom AND THE SIDE. Surely this cannot be correct. As it stands, the large burner is completely useless to me. I bought my new pan set relying on the information in your Owner™€™s Manual to ensure compatibility. I never would have bought this product if I™€™d known about the apparently secret requirement that both the bottom AND SIDES must work with a magnet if I wanted to use the large burner.

What a surprise

Auntie Nan 12/6/2022

I have been using my new Frigidaire Gallery cooktop for 2 weeks. It replaced a 20 year old radiant electric cooktop. What a wonderful surprise it has been! Even though I have read a lot of great reviews of induction cooktops, the evenness of the heat and immediate adjustments of the temperature were amazing. My first pan of scrambled eggs came out fluffy and perfectly cooked. I could never get the temperature adjustment on my electric cooktop right with eggs. They were always overcooked no matter what a I did. I also love the timer that is built into the cooktop. I now don™€™t have to use my oven or microwave for that any longer. I look forward to whipping up all kinds of new recipes on this excellent appliance!

New to Induction Cooking

JStepo 12/1/2022

We replaced our old / faithful Kenmore glass cooktop. Still worked perfectly, but looks tired/dated. Decided on induction. Have only used twice... heated up 2 bowls of soup out for the fridge.. slight boil in only 3 min and top was just warm to the touch. Prepped beef stew, browning and sautÃing... great control (more like gas than electric) and splatter just wiped right off. And was a drop-in install! Great choice thus far. Only ding, is that there is a very small gap under the edge... does not lie perfectly flat on countertop!

I was so excited to find a reasonably priced induction cooktop without knobs! This is so easy to clean and looks great.

Impressive power, sharp looks and super easy to clean.

JSTFLK 10/24/2022

TLDR: I absolutely love how clean and powerful this is. I'm surprised induction cooktops aren't more popular. They are more powerful than gas cooktops and have instant response, they clean up easier than anything, and they're so efficient that there is no need to run the range hood fan. I've had this induction cooktop for two months and use it nearly everyday and it's still an absolute joy to use.An unexpected advantage is that all my pans are WAY more clean on the outside since there is no longer hot gas causing spills to sear on the outside. The fact that only the very bottom of the pan gets hot means that spills don't bake on.

Induction cooktop

SusySue 10/24/2022

We have had our Frigidaire induction cooktop for about a month now and we are very happy with it. We paid double the cost of the cooktop to detach our gas stove and convert to electric but it was worth it. Now my kitchen looks clean and sleek. I love cooking on it on my new Hexclad pans. There is a learning curve but that was to be expected. I would recommend this cooktop based on my experience so far. My husband loves it too.

Very Nice cooktop

Never thought I would like an electric cooktop, but heats in a second, great control. Cleaning is a breeze and looks very cool.

So far so good

I've only had it a short time but it does everything they say - boils water fast, burners heat instantly, heat is evenly distributed.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Be aware that granite installation needs an additional kit. It would have been nice to know that up front.

Extremely disappointed

Rebeka Joseph 10/6/2022

I purchased my induction cooktop on 6/27/2021. I didn™€™t receive it until July 2021. In the year that I had it, we would occasionally get the ™€œE9™€ error message. When we did, we shut off the power to the cooktop and then back on after a minute and that ™€œfixed™€ it. In September 2022 this happened again but nothing we did would make ™€œE9™€ go away. I called customer service and was told that i was just outside of the warranty window and they referred me to repair companies. The repair person I use told me I likely need a new board and burner which would cost $530 for the parts alone, not counting the labor. I spent $720 this cooktop, so fixing it won™€™t be worth it. I feel cheated by Frigidaire. I thought this was a brand name that was reliable. Is there anything more that can be done for me?

I've been really happy with this cooktop. It is quick to heat, and straightforward to use. The controls are so simple. I am really happy to have made the switch to induction from radiant heat!

Induction cooktops are the way to go!

Jim n Luong 9/28/2022

We love induction cooktops now! Wish we had a 36™€ vs the 30™€ we have. We love the exact temperature controls and the power boost which boils water faster than any other method. Cooking times are significantly faster and much more precise! No more accidentally over cooking a pan with oil and smoking up the house by accident! Only issue with this cooktop is the heating element must have shifted during shipment because they don™€™t line up with the cooktop designated placement indicators but it still works. We just have to place the pans off to the side of the identified pan placement markings as one can see in the pictures. Don™€™t know what it will take to correct this issue. Which is the only reason we gave this cooktop a 4 instead of a 5! One other important factor is that this cooktop is so much safer being the cooktop only gets hot from the hot pan and it cools off quickly when the pan is removed. Especially if one has children. One can actually put a paper towel under the pan to cook without it burning, not that I suggest anyone do that, but it does work since it is not the cooktop that heats up. It only gets hot from the pan or pot sitting on the cooktop and the precise heating controls! Induction is so much more efficient and safer to cook with, it™€™s the future of cooktops!!! I™€™ll never go back to radiant or gas cooktops again!!
