The worst appliance I have ever owned. Have had it for 2 years and have put over $2,000 into it and it still doesn™€™t work. Ironically started right after the warranty was up™€¦. Imagine that. No help from company, alarms go off constantly due to temp readings, compressor needed to be replaced and wire harness for ice maker because ice maker stopped working. This is a poorly made product. I will never buy another Electrolux made product and will advise everyone I know to do the same.

Do not buy Frigidaire! We bought an extended warranty on this frig and 2 years in, the electric panel broke. They gave sent technician after technician to fix and nothing is working. They refuse to issue a new frig and have made it so complicated we will NEVER buy Frigidaire again. What respectable company doesn™€™t honor a warranty?

I purchased this refrigerator in December of 2019. Within 6 months had issues the refrigerator was freezing food. Service Technicians came came out various times and i argued with the manufacturer for over a year to get a replacement refrigerator. I had to throw out food numerous times due to this issues. I finally received a replacement fridge in February of 2021. Now having the same issue staring in September of 2023. Error was coming and going and now constant. No way you should go through 2 refrigerators in 4 years and have this issues reoccur. Customer service is of no use.

We purchased this model 2 years ago and it has been a let down. Had warranty work done On this model when circuit went out on display board. Lights stayed on and warning bell kept beeping . Part was ordered and took awhile 6 weeks if I remember. And all this time a very noisy ice maker. After warranty out issue with freezer. Tech ordered part and fixed that issue. And now been fighting an ice maker that keeps freezing up and quits making ice. Family use to the noise this ice maker makes . Sounds like an old creaking door. And squeaks and howls.was told months back that they are just noisy. You would think a name brand would be of good quality. Should have bought extended warranty but thought would not need it. So stay away from this model.

We bought Frigidaire refrigerator from a year and half and less than 6 months started to giving us problem and started to freeze everything lights are on and off and we can't put the temperature of the refrigerator ice not working we called the company many times eventually they send someone and he said he got the wrong part and he will comeback when he get from the company the right part and I never heard back from them I called many times and of the times they open a case and working on it now it's been a year and never solved my problem I felt that I'm being robbed paying a lot of money for something is not working and I thought it's a good brand. Called many many times and most of the times hanged up on me. I cried like a baby because I work so hard to buy it. I will never ever recommend this brand anymore to anyone.

Terrible Refrigerator

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator, model FG4H2272UF, in May 22, 2020 from Lowes. It was delivered in May 30, 2020. I began having issues with the ice maker in April, 2022, when the ice maker stopped making ice. My efforts to fix the issue, both under my 3-year warranty, were successful. However, since April, 2022, I have had 4 more issues with the ice maker, and since my 3-year warranty expired in May, 2023, I've had to pay for repairs to the ice maker. Now, in November, 2023, both the ice maker and the freezer have gone out. Therefore, I am having a repairman come out to do ANOTHER repair. I am very disgusted with this refrigerator, having so many problems in 3 1/2 years, the first occurring when the refrigerator was only 2 years old. I would not recommend this product at all. Before purchasing this new Frigidaire, I had a Maytag refrigerator for 9 years, and NEVER had an issue with the ice maker. During that time I only had minor issues with the freezer, which were repaired. After moving, I gave this Maytag to my daughter, and as of this date, she STILL has had NO issues with the ice maker, nor the refrigerator or freezer. That's 12 years, and only had minor issues with the freezer.

Like many complaints on this site ours is no different. My husband and I bought a new Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator on 1-10-2022. The cost before the extended warranty was purchased was $2969.00. Then we purchased the 3 yr protection plan because the manufacture only warranted 1yr. We were happy with the refrigerator until 9-8-2023. The freezer and the fridge stopped cooling. We called the extended warranty company and they told us that we can pick from a list of repair/service companies. We chose Electrolux. They came out on 9-13-23 said the compressor was shot. Cost $1000 to fix. Then the fridge stopped cooling again on 10-11-2023. Another tech came out on 10-13-2023 and said this time its the valve assembly. He left and said he would order the parts needed. It is now 11-10-2023 and we have no working refigareator and no part in sight. We have tried many times talking to customer service/supervisors and all we have been told at this time is you may receive 40% of the original cost or wait for the part....the part is on back order and they say it should be here by 11-29-2023!!!NOT ACCEPTABLE. The fight for justice continues!!!

Feedback on Frigidaire reliability. Frigidaire gallery refrigerator had a sealed system failure at 3 years. Cost to repair, could be $1800. Contacted Frigidaire and the best they could do was 20% off new parts. Way too early for a costly refrigerator repair. Poor customer service by Frigidaire. Will make one last effort to get Frigidaire to back their appliance ... if no luck, will purchase from different manufacturer. Would not recommend Frigidaire appliances.

Horrible noise several times a day

My 2022 Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator makes a horrible noise through the day everyday! I™€™ve had several repairs technicians look at it and each time they contact Frigidaire to find a solution. Each time the answer is the same- that are aware of the noise but it isn™€™t cause for concern. The ice maker evaporator valve isn™€™t closing quick enough which is causing the noise. I am told there is no fix for this issue - how about replacing it with a quiet refrigerator! SoI have a new, expensive refrigerator that makes a growling noise several times a day that can™€™t be fixed. Unacceptable Frigidaire. I have no other course than topost negative comments on every social media platform I can find so no one else has to live with a howling refrigerator.

Based on my personal experience purchasing a new model FG4H2272UF and paying over $3,000, the refrigerator™€™s main parts broke down after 15 months and reaching out to the manufacture company ™€œElectrolux™€ was useless and hopeless. They provided no support or any customer service to fix the problem or realize the appliance was in no good working order when we bought it. They were uncooperative and continued to give me the run around when trying to locate someone to assist me and when I did reach someone, they just kept sending me to someone else, who never responded to my request. I will never trust this company or their product again.

Ice maker is an epic failure

Unlike the insulation between the freezer drawers and the refrigerator part, the ice maker has poor insulation and is not self contained therefore it tries to freeze water for ice while freezing the inside wall of the refrigerator. Yet, instead of fixing it properly they just want you to continue to buy warranty. POOR design!!!

This has to be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. After less than 2 years of ownership many of the plastic parts inside are cracking. The ice maker has been repaired 4 times and still continues to not work because the line freezes. The technicians who have attempted to repair it say that it is a known issue and a poor design.The refrigerator is also extremely noisy making all kinds or whirring and humming noises. Do not buy!

If I could give this Fridge a 0 start I would. We purchased this a year ago when it broke. It started with beeping sound saying that we have to reset the freezer because it is not staying cool. The beeping sound became more frequent and the feezer stopped cooling. We countacted fridgidaire and they sent a tech after a couple of days. The technician said that he needed to replace the panel. He then ordered the part from Frigidaire and we were charged $80 to order the replacement part. We made the follow up appt with the technician so he can come back to install the part. However, when he arrived at our house, he was looking for the replacement part which we never received. They never told us where they shipped the part, either frigidaire or the technician could not tell us what the status is for the part. Finally, after a painful back and forth with Frigidaire helpdesk, they finally told us that there is shortage with the part and that they cannot fulfill the order. We requested a refund which we never received. Overall, the experience was horrible. If I could avoid it, I would NEVER buy a FRIDGIDAIRE product ever again.

I purchased this refrigerator 9/1/21 and had to call for service for the ice maker on 6/8/23 because it was not making ice and leaking water around the water filter and housing. I had just bought a new water filter from Frigidaire and replaced it. The service person took apart the back panel and found it was leaking between the filter and filter housing. He adjusted the filter and the leak stopped and the ice maker started working again. Now in September 2023 the ice maker stopped working again. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. To fix this problem it will cost me around $450.00.

1 year old $3,000 frig with non-functioning ice maker

Within a week of the year warranty expiring the ice maker quit making ice. I've had it repaired 3 times in a span of 6 months. Now on the 4th service call, Frigidaire has deemed the appliance unrepairable. Because of this design, I'm left with an 18-month-old frig that hasn't consistently made ice since a week out of warranty. Frigidaire will not replace since I did not have an extended warranty. Not surprised this model is "discontinued". I was offered a rebate to buy another refrigerator. Seriously!

This has been the most frustrating appliance experience we've ever encountered. Absolutely love the design and matching stove and dishwasher. That's the end of the nice things I can say. Repeated issues with leaking ( through the new subfloor and into the basement, not a couple spoonfuls) freezer stops freezing followed by mid section and then fridge- just threw away fridge and freezer contents for the second time in 3 months as freezer is currently 57° and fridge is at 62°. And the soonest the warranty repair service company can LOOK at it is ten days away- not fix, mind you, but look at it, order more parts and then come back out after that...... I am thankful that this unit is now discontinued but leaving this review in hopes of saving others the stress and frustration that we have experienced if units are still being sold.......

I recently purchased a Frigidaire appliance set from Best Buy. I purchased this set on boxing day of 2021, `1 year and 5 months later my refridgerator was deemed unrepairable by a Frigidaire repair man. Repair man said the compressor was no longer working and that he couldn't repair it, and that it should be replaced by the manufacturer. We were then surprised and incredibly disappointed to hear back from Frigidaire with a 40% rebate on a purchase of a new Frigidaire refridgerator. I can't express how hard this last month has been not having a refridgerator and trying to care for a 3 year old little girl. When you spend over $2500 on a refrigerator you expect it to be in working condition for longer then a year and half and this was not the case for me, I have also discovered I was not the only Frigidaire customer having these issues. I think the most disappointing and frustrating part of this whole case was the way this manufacturer turned their back on who they call a valued customer. I will never purchase anything from this brand again and I will make sure I spread the word the best I can about them.

I had the fridge a year 1/2 it quit. The fridge/freezer door had to be completely replaced a year ago. Now the freezer has QUIT AGAIN!!!

I bought this Frigidaire to replace another brand that lasted 8 years, with the last two years expensively fighting to keep it cold. I had high hopes for this Frigidaire. It was cold and quiet and made me forget my previous issues. Until I got the dreaded "Hi Temp" freezer alert after only 3 years. I checked to make sure the coils were clean, but that didn't make any difference. The freezer crept up to 32 degrees, and I knew the end was nigh after researching many other Hi Temp freezer complaints. I started getting PTSD flashbacks of my previous refrigerator and constantly taking food out for service call after service call. I'm not going down that road again, so out it goes.I have a 29 year old fridge in the basement that runs perfectly and has never had service. I am starting to believe that manufacturers consider these new refrigerators disposable items.

Purchased this model in December 2020 after much research and positive review. Since purchasing it has had to be replaced once just under warranty in Dec 2021 due to the freezer not working. Again had problems had June 2023 where it stopped cooling correctly and leaking water inside the unit. Had the problems identified and repaired only to have it fail again after a few weeks. In the 3 years I have this replaced once and repaired twice already and still not working correctly. Customer Service at Frigidaire was unable to help at all.

I have had this refrigerator for a short three years and the freezer stopped working. Repairman said the coolant is leaking and there is no way to fix it.I bought Frigidaire because of the name and thought it was reliable.I would never recommend this product to anyone. Three years and shopping for another refrigerator is very upsetting.

We paid $3000 for a Frigidaire Galley Refrigerator. After 18 months, it stopped working. The service repair said it would cost $2400 to repair. Frigidaire service will not even talk to us about it since it is over 12 months old. We will not ever purchase another Frigidaire appliance.

Very disappointed in 13 month old refrigerator

We recently(May 2022) built a new house and bought all Frigidaire appliances for it. I am very sad to report that my refrigerator that is 13 months old has died. I had a repair service come out and they said the compressor is no good and the refrigerator was running extremely hot. I was advised not to leave it plugged in while I wait for parts and service. Unfortunately, that will take a couple of weeks, so I don't have a refrigerator in my house.

Very happy with purchase - was worried about Ice freezing cubes issue frequent comments on reviews but we have not had any issues with the ice cubes getting stuck or freezing. A year later with change of required filters for air and water and everything working just fine.

Do not but from this company. They do not stand behind their product. This refrigerator is a lemon. Sealed air system is bad on mine after 3 years. They usually offer a 5 year warranty for sealed air problems, but not with this model...probably because they new it was bad. So I either have to invest another $1,000 plus into a defective product or buy a new fridge. The customer service from this company is absolute garbage.

Purchased an entire kitchen, (5 Appliances), out of those 5, only one has worked properly. The refrigerator started having issues within the first couple of weeks, it was serviced several times but never did work correctly. This unit even undermined our kitchen floor due to "fan issues" that created a water leak. Frigidaire did not want to replace this unit after the initial year was up even though it had issues for that entire time. Luckily, the dealer was able to get a replacement unit. I will NEVER purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

Nice Fridge/Bad Ice Maker

This was my dream fridge, UNTIL.....the ice maker is inside the refrigerator, not the freezer, therefore every time you open the fridge, you lose cold air and reduce the temperarature, which in turn reduces the ability to make ice. Now we're getting no ice at all. After two service calls and being told now that the ice maker is freezing solid, we've resorted to purchasing ice!! Not a good experience for paying just shy of $3,000 for a fridge!!!

The 1st set of replacement boards from Frigidaire were no good. Now the appliance repair company have been waiting over a week for Frigidaire to supply boards. Very disappointed we have had Frigidaire products for years, but this will be the last time

Well, I was satisfied with my refrigerator until a month ago, my ice and water just stopped dispensing out of the blue. I had a technician come out and said the control board needed replaced. Well, come to find out the whole door actually needs replaced due to faulty wiring. This is a fridge that is only 15 months old that I spent a lot of money on. So, if you are wanting a product that will not last and a company that does not care that their products do not last, then by all means buy a Frigidaire. I hate writing negative reviews, but I am so sad and frustrated by my experience with Frigidaire and how their appliance did not last. In my opinion, it just is not acceptable that they are selling products like this.

We inherited this French door Frigidaire Gallery when we purchased the home in 2019. The ice maker has completely quit working this time after being hit and miss for the last few years. Now, I am getting Sy and EF codes that won™€™t clear. This fridge has been the worst appliance I have ever owned. I have a 1970™€™s model in the garage that works great. So disappointing to read through the reviews to discover this is a common problem.

Ice machine is horrible!!

I bought this appliance in late 2020 and have had nothing but trouble with the ice machine. The fan froze, the ice machine was totally replaced and I've had 2 line freezes. Although I had bought a service plan, but it doesn't help when they have to keep replacing a poorly designed machine. Wood floor is damaged due to water leaking as is an expensive boat model kit. Saw a class action law suit on other models ice machines, but not this one.

Bought the Gallery series French Door in 2021, maybe June? For the first time ever, we paid for the extended warranty and a good thing too. Ice maker quit (for the first of 4 times now) after three months. One of the big shelves broke within the same time period and the replacement was a downgrade from the original. A paper thin piece of plastic that held up a small shelf on the inside of a door ripped not long after and rendered the tiny shelf useless (to fix this requires a new door, $$$). The upper freezer drawer has been shedding wheels and small pieces of acrylic since early on and to this day continues to disintegrate bit by bit. Just yesterday, the front of one of the big produce drawers broke at one corner. We have a guy coming tomorrow to fix the ice maker again. We've replaced the $40.00 water filter half a dozen times but that does not fix anything anymore. We received a quote for 800.00 to fix what's wrong with it, not including 70.00/hr service fee...Needless to say, find something else, anything else. It truly does not deserve the Fridgidaire name.

Why does the refrigerator in the garage (15 years old) work better than the on that is almost 2 years old? Technician was called in December and told us there were no issues ($175), even though the ice maker and freezer have not worked for months. An independent technician tells us there is a freon leak and the freezer needs mechanical parts need to be replaced. After requesting warranty service, I was told it would require an additional $150. For what, another tech to tell me nothing is wrong? Beyond ridiculous.

3 Ice maker Failures in 3 months

Within 13 months we found water on our wooden kitchen floor due to the ice maker failing. The "mother board" was replaced. A month later the ice maker failed again & was replaced, the next month, (again water on our floor) it failed for the 3rd time. As an aside, I am managing the Appliance dept. at a Bog Box retailer (perhaps Frigidaire's largest customer" & given my experience it's difficult to sell my customers Frigidaire appliances!

First problem was replacement of control board, now need a new evaporator. Im into this 2 yr old refrige for another $1000. Waiting 2 months for parts on backorder. Contact with customer service was a long hold time, then disconnected. This was my first Frigidaire, may have to be my last.

Ice maker dispenser does not work

We have had 4 service calls (less than 9 months old) for the ice maker that keeps freezing up. The service guys come out defrost but nothing more. The ice maker needs to be replaced. Having to dump ice or buy ice.

Faulty ice maker

About a year after purchase ( July 2020 ) ice maker leaked through ice discharger chute. After 3 visits by a local appliance technician and an authorized Frigidaire technician, it was determined the ice maker had to be replaced, but with the same type ice maker. Latter technician indicated a replacement had to be installed, but he would turn off the ice maker. Technician was advised ice maker still operating, and effort to do so by owner following owner manual instructions also failed. Technician indicated he would "figure it out"; 2 text messages, phone call and 18 days later no response from technician. Chat agent said she would contact technician for follow up and advise of her effort. No word from chat agent 3 days later. Refrigerator works well otherwise.
