FORT COLLINS, COLO. — Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses has pledged to donate 5 percent of holiday profits from its Fort Collins store to community support of those affected by the High Park Fire, and is inviting other local businesses to join.
Appliance Factory Outlet will donate 5 percent of profits from the week of July 1–7 to the Rist Canyon VolunteerFire Department, a local fire department unit that operates solely on donations. The store hopes to maximize contributions by inviting other local businesses to hold similar promotions during the same week. The donationsare a small token of appreciation for an organization that has displayed an enormous contribution to the Northern Colorado community, said Appliance Factory Outlet CEO Chuck Ewing.
The Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department was first on the scene the day the High Park fire was reported on June 6. The High Park Fire consumed one of Rist Canyon’s three fire stations, and some of the firefighters’ homes were affected.
